Who you are dealing with
Sortroll is made by Alessandro Nicoli, Zürcherstrasse 53b, 8104 Weiningen, Switzerland, reachable at info@sortroll.com ("we", "us"). Installing or using the app means you accept these terms. If you do not, delete the app.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Sortroll on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not resell it, rent it, decompile it, or strip out its notices.
Free and Pro
The free plan includes 50 actions a day. Filing to an album, favoriting and marking for deletion each count as one action; Skip, Later and Undo don't count. Pro adds unlimited actions, the Smart preset, custom presets and adding to several albums at once.
Subscriptions and the free trial
Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase, yearly, monthly, or once. Purchases are billed through your Apple account.
- The price is shown in the app and the App Store before you buy, in your local currency. There is a yearly plan, a monthly plan and a one-time lifetime option.
- The yearly plan's 7-day free trial becomes a paid year at the price shown unless you cancel before it ends.
- Subscriptions renew until you cancel in iPhone Settings. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.
- The lifetime option is a one-time purchase. Nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms, not by us.
- "Restore purchases" in the app brings Pro back on a new device or after a reinstall, as long as you use the same Apple Account.
- If we later change what Pro includes or what it costs, a lifetime purchase you have already made stays unlocked.
If you stop paying
Your albums stay in Apple Photos even if you stop paying. They were written to your own photo library as you sorted, so they do not depend on a subscription.
Your photos are yours to look after
Sortroll is a sorting tool, not a backup. It files, favorites and marks items in your own photo library, and you choose what each swipe does. The Smart preset guesses and will not always guess right, so check what it suggests before you swipe. A delete swipe only marks an item, and nothing is deleted until you review the list and confirm — what you confirm is your decision. Confirmed items go to Recently Deleted in Apple Photos for 30 days, after which Apple removes them and we cannot get them back. Keep a backup of your device if your photos matter.
Your data
Your photos and albums are stored in your own photo library, held by Apple. We do not hold them, so we cannot recover them for you. What the app does send is described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not use Sortroll on photos you are not entitled to access, or for anything unlawful.
No warranty, and the limit of our liability
The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or lost photos. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to support the app. Apple is, however, entitled to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the app means accepting the new version. You can end this agreement any time by deleting the app.
Governing law
Swiss law applies, and the place of jurisdiction is Zürich, Switzerland, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence says otherwise.
